Copia del informe hecho por el Gobernador de Veragua ... sobre las misiones de la Talamanca : Santiago de Veragua, Panama : ms., 1775 Sept. 15.

Copy of a report addressed by the Commandant General of Veragua Province to the municipal authorities of Guatemala City, regarding a proposed Franciscan expedition into the territory of the Talamanca Indians. It discusses the advisability of military assistance for the expedition, describes the territory and its inhabitants, and stresses their enmity with the Mosquito Indians. The document is preceded by copies of the Guatemalan request of March 11, 1775, for the report, and of Bejarano's order, August 6, 1775, for compliance with the request. Entered by Bancroft under "Costa Rica-Copia del informe ..."
